Terms of service
These terms describe the scope and appropriate use of Clincol’s educational website and interactive brain explorer. Effective September 7, 2026.
1. About the service
Clincol provides general educational information about psychology and neuroscience. The website is free to explore and does not require a Clincol account. Access to a private preview may require authentication through the hosting provider.
By using the website, you agree to use it in accordance with these terms and applicable law. If you do not agree, stop using the service.
2. Educational information
Explanations, models, and animations are simplified teaching tools. They do not provide a diagnosis, treatment, clinical assessment, personalized health recommendation, or measurement of your brain. They do not establish a clinician–patient relationship.
Do not use this site to make or change medical treatment decisions. Questions about symptoms, medication, eating concerns, or mental health should be discussed with a qualified professional. Clincol is not an emergency service.
3. Responsible use
You may explore the site for personal learning, classroom discussion, and other lawful educational purposes. Do not interfere with the service, bypass access restrictions, introduce malicious software, impersonate Clincol, or misrepresent its simulations as real patient data or validated clinical tests.
Use the research to understand influence with care. The educational scenarios do not promise that a message can control another person’s choices.
4. Content and third-party materials
Third-party research, software, and anatomical data remain subject to their respective licenses and rights. Links to research are provided for context and do not imply endorsement. See our model credits and methodology for attribution and license notices.
Sharing a link to Clincol is welcome. Before reproducing or redistributing material, review the applicable license. These terms do not grant rights that belong to other parties.
5. Availability, accuracy, and external links
Research changes, and educational summaries may contain omissions or errors. We may update, suspend, or remove parts of the website. Availability and uninterrupted access are not guaranteed.
External websites have their own content, terms, and privacy practices. Review them when following a source link. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or protections that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.
6. Privacy and updates
Our privacy notice explains how this version handles information. Changes to these terms will appear on this page with an updated effective date. If an update changes how you wish to use the site, you may stop using it.
7. Organizational status
Clincol is presented as a nonprofit educational initiative. This site does not offer donations, make tax-deductibility claims, or assert registered charity status. No jurisdiction-specific registration or professional accreditation is represented.
